Newsletter
Greetings TSES Families,
We had another exciting week last week at TSES! On Wednesday, we celebrated our Education Support Professionals (ESPs) for national ESP day. The TSES ESPs (paraeducators, student assistants, liaisons, front office, health room, & food and nutrition staff) are the best of the best and are truly the glue that holds us all together! We are grateful for their support everyday.
We ended American Education Week with our Trot for Talbott event on Friday. To our families - Thank you for helping make Trot for Talbott a huge success! Whether you ran with your child, cheered from the sidelines, or helped behind the scenes—your support meant so much. We're grateful to have such an amazing, involved school community. Thanks for showing up and making the day so special!
Our year to date attendance rate is 95.4%! The TSES Eagle is only a few spots away from reaching his nest on our life size game board (located near the cafeteria). Each day as a whole school if our attendance is 95% or greater, the Eagle moves forward a space. Each grade level will earn a self selected reward once our Eagle reaches his nest. Encourage your Eagle to attend school and be on time, so that they can grow their brain and have fun with friends at TSES!
A few reminders for this week:
TSES will dismiss on Monday and Tuesday at 12:15 due to parent/teacher conferences. We will not have BRIDGES this week. Please make a note regarding our early dismissals this week and plan for an on time pick up.
We look forward to seeing our students return on Monday, December 1 at 8:30. I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving holiday!

Please share photos from (1) field trips and (2) school events with Mrs. Humphrey at michelle_humphrey@hcpss.org . Please include your students name(s) and grade(s). Thank you in advance for your support.
Winter Coats
As the weather gets a little chilly, it is time to pull out the winter coats! Please remember to send your student to school with a coat for outdoor recess. If your student needs a coat, please contact Jenny Rothenberger at jennifer_rothenberger@hcpss.org and we will make sure they receive one!
Flying Eagles Volunteer Program
Please sign up to volunteer at TSES: Flying Eagles Volunteers Sign-Up 25/26 — Signup Sheet | SignUp.com. HCPSS Pre-K Program
Families that have been affected by the federal government shutdown and who would not ordinarily qualify for the Pre-K program could now be eligible due to their current loss of income. Howard County families who have lost pay due to the shutdown, even those families who have previously applied and did not meet Tier I eligibility, may apply. If your family qualifies, the Pre-K program would be offered at no cost to your family for the remainder of the school year. Please submit a completed application and the required income documentation to: hcpss_pk@hcpss.org. Application submissions must include the required income documentation in order for our office to determine eligibility. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Early Childhood Program by email at hcpss_pk@hcpss.org or by phone at 410-313-6836.
