Greetings TSES Families,
We are gearing up for another busy week at TSES! This week, we will have our Reading night on 3/18, celebrate our school crossing guards on 3/19, and HCPSS schools are closed for students on 3/20. Please see below for additional details.
Congratulations to William M., Julian S. and Benjamin C. in 2nd grade whose artwork was selected to be showcased at a countywide art show at the Howard County Arts Council. Way to go William, Julian, and Benjamin!
Congratulations to our 5th graders,Daniella and Dimitri, for representing TSES in the Howard County Elementary School Honors Orchestra! The Honors Orchestra is made up of two students from each elementary school in the county who are selected based on their musical skills as well as their motivation and attitude in orchestra class. We are very proud of their hard work and dedication!

Reading Night and Book Fair
Please join us for Talbott Spring’s Cozy Cafe Reading Night on March 18, 2026 from 6:15-8:00pm. There will be an Author Visit, Book Fair, Read Alouds, Snacks, Crafts and more. Please see Flier and RSVP. In addition, students can shop at the Book Fair during the school day on Thursday March 19th.
Dental Clinic
On May 5 & 6, 2026, Talbott Springs ES will hold an in-school dental clinic provided by the MD Smiles Program. TSES PreSchool
Will your child be 3 years old by September 1, 2026? If so, we'd love to have your child as part of our LTP program.
The PreSchool classes are 4 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:35-11:15AM.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
Registration for new students or students entering public school kindergarten in fall 2026 is now open!
- Kindergarten is mandatory in Maryland. State law requires that children entering kindergarten in the fall of 2026 must be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2026.
- Children entering first grade in the fall of 2026 must be 6 years old on or before September 1, 2026.
