March 27, 2026

Greetings TSES families,

Spring Break is finally here! Next week, HCPSS schools will be closed due to the break. Please note that HCPSS schools will reopen on April 6, which was previously scheduled as a hoilday. I hope every has a wonderful and safe Spring Break! We look forward to seeing our students return to school on Monday, April 6, 2026 at 8:30am.

Celebrating Our Young Artists!

Congratulations to our Pre-K through 5th grade students whose artwork is featured in the 53rd Annual HCPSS Art Exhibit at the Mall in Columbia! This exciting event highlights the creativity, dedication, and artistic growth of students from across Howard County—and we're proud to share that 64 TSES students have their work on display this year! We invite our TSES families and community members to stop by and celebrate these young artists. The exhibit will be open April 9th- April 29, and our school’s display can be found on the lower level, located between Dunkin, Forever 21, and Lolli & Pops. Congratulations again to all of our students; we are so proud of you!

Message from the TSES Health Room

Hello TSES Parents!

Spring into healthy habits! It is that time of year when the weather is becoming nicer, and we are spending more time outside.

What do Seasonal Allergies look like?

·    Stuffy/runny nose

·    Watery/itchy/red/puffy eyes

·    Scratchy throat

·   Dry cough

·   Itchy, bumpy skin, hives, redness

What can parents do to help their child with seasonal allergies?

·  When returning in from playing outside, have your child wash their hands and face

· Have your child splash/rinse eyes and apply a cool, wet cloth

· Talk to your child’s pediatrician about oral allergy medications, as well as eye drops or topical allergy medications for symptoms

If your child has Asthma, it is important to contact the pediatrician and have a treatment plan in place during this time of year.
