Newsletter - 2/6/26
Greetings TSES Families,
Thank you for your patience and understanding this week as we navigated multiple schedule changes - two delays due to weather, no school on Wednesday, and 2 early dismissals due to conferences. We are ready to get back to our normal schedule and are looking forward to full days of school next week. We will continue to have indoor recess due to the very cold temperature as well as the frozen outdoor areas. Are we ready for Spring?!
We enjoyed seeing many of you in person and virtually during conferences this week. Thank you for your continued support and participation!
Thank you to our wonderful PTA for stocking the TSES Staff refrigerators with drinks and snacks on Thursday. It was a huge hit and helped us make it through the long day and into the evening for conferences.
Next week we have 3 optional whole school spirit days:
Wednesday, 2/11 -Celebrate the 100th Day of School - Wear 100 of something; the number 100 or dress like you are 100 years old!
Thursday 2/12- Throwback Thursday - Wear clothing inspired by your favorite 80's or 90's music cultural icon.
Friday 2/13- Valentine's Day- Wear red, pink, or hearts.
We look forward to having some fun with our spirit days!

Mark your calendars! We are gearing up and planning an exciting evening to celebrate Black History Month on Thursday, February 26th at 6:00 pm. Come out and enjoy yummy food, great performances, and meaningful moments as we come together to celebrate history, culture, and community. Check out the flier for details!
Black History Month Guest Reader Day
Talbott Springs is hosting a Black History Month Guest Reader day on Friday, February 27th. We invite adult family and community members to read a book, one that highlights an author, illustrator, person, or character of color, to a class of students. If you have a book you would like to read, please bring it. We will also have a collection of books available to you to choose from. If you are interested in volunteering as a Guest Reader, please review the available time slots and sign up. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Christina Mizia at Christina_Mizia@hcpss.org. Thank you for your support as we celebrate Black History Month and promote literacy!
Planet Aid Clothing Bin
Please support Talbott Springs Elementary School by bagging your excess clothes, shoes, purses, and linens and placing them in the yellow bin on our campus. Your donation keeps reusable textiles out of landfills, provides clothing to those in need, and raises funds for our school. Thank you for your consideration.
