Arrival Reminders

  • Upon arrival, all students will line up on the blacktop by grade level and will be escorted into the building by staff members at 8:30.
  • Students should not arrive prior to 8:25, as supervision will not be available.
  • Staff will be available outside to assist students into the building until 8:45.  Students arriving after 8:45 should enter the building via the front entrance of the school.
  • Please do not allow your child(ren) to play on the playground equipment between 8:00am-8:30am. This is considered school hours and therefore the playground is not available for community use.
  • Please do not drop off and/or pick up your students on the private road in the Holly Court townhouse community. This is not a public road, and the community has expressed concerns with using it for school traffic.
  • The instructional day begins at 8:45.
  • Students will be considered tardy at 8:46.
  • Visitors will not be allowed in the building during arrival.

Car Loop

  • Cars will enter the car loop from Whiteacre Road.
  • Parents should not let students out of the car until they reach the landing zone where TSES Staff will be available to help.
  • Students should exit the car on the right passenger side.
  • Please remain in your car at all times and do not bypass other cars in the line. Exiting the car can create unsafe conditions for everyone.
  • Follow the directions from the TSES Staff.
  • If you would like to walk your child to the blacktop, please park your car in the TSES parking lot and accompany your child to the blacktop.  Do not park in the car loop or bus loop and leave your car unattended.

Walkers

  • Upon arrival, students will report to the blacktop where they will be greeted by TSES Staff starting at 8:25.
  • Students will enter the building at 8:30.
  • Please be aware that Crossing Guards will be posted at Whiteacre Road @ Thunderhill Road and in front of the school on Whiteacre Road.
  • If your child is riding a bike to school, please send them with a lock so that their bike can be secured to the bike rack.

Dismissal Reminders

  • Dismissal procedures will begin at approximately 3:10.
  • Please be aware that there are “No Parking” signs on Whiteacre Road.
  • Please do not drop off and pick up your students on the private road in the Holly Court townhouse community. This is not a public road and the community has expressed concerns with using it for school traffic.

  • Students will enter the car using the right passenger side.

Walkers

  • TSES Staff will escort walkers to the blacktop.
  • Walkers can be met on the blacktop at dismissal.
  • Parents/Guardians, please stand behind the cones on the blacktop. We need to keep the exit doors and sidewalks clear for students and staff to exit the building.
  • Please be aware that Crossing Guards will be posted at Whiteacre Road @ Thunderhill Road and in front of the school on Whiteacre Road.

Bus Rider Information

Students/families may find their bus stop and pickup/drop-off times by logging in to HCPSS Connect Synergy, select More Options and then Homeroom / Transportation / POS to determine bus times. This information also can be found in the HCPSS online bus locator.

Bus routes and schedules are subject to change as routes are designed and/or revised. The location and times listed online include the most up to date information.

  • If your child has their ZUM swipe card and lanyard from last year, please send it to the bus stop/school with them. If the swipe card is lost, students will still be allowed to ride the bus to and from school. We will request new cards for students, if needed.
  • Use the ZUM app to track your child’s bus.
  • We encourage families and students to arrive at the bus stop 5-10 minutes before the pick up time during the first week.
  • Please remind your child(ren) about safe behavior on the bus - stay in your seat, keep your voice at an appropriate volume, and always listen to the directions of the bus driver. The HCPSS Code of Conduct applies to the bus and students can receive disciplinary action for violations of the Code of Conduct. Thank you for your support!
