Families will gain an understanding of how to help their child:
- Build a positive and confident start to their Kindergarten experience.
- Become familiar with the Kindergarten learning environment through a tour of the classrooms.
- Meet the Kindergarten teachers and other Talbott Springs Elementary School staff who will support their child throughout the year.
- Learn about important dates, events, and expectations for the upcoming school year.
- Connect with other incoming Kindergarten families and begin building relationships within the school community.
- Help their child feel comfortable, excited, and prepared for a successful transition to Kindergarten.
- Recognize and manage their emotions using age-appropriate strategies.
- Develop early literacy skills by identifying letters and letter sounds.
- Build a strong math identity by developing confidence, curiosity, and problem-solving skills in mathematics.
