During Math Data Conferences, families will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about literacy assessment data, including MAP and fact fluency interviews, and what the results mean for their child.
- Understand their child's current math performance and progress toward grade-level expectations.
- Discuss their child's strengths and areas for growth with their teacher.
- Collaborate with the teacher to create a personalized plan for supporting math at home.
- Practice a math strategy or skill that can be reinforced at home to help their child continue growing as a mathematician.
- Ask questions and gain a better understanding of how home and school can work together to support student success.
By the end of the conference, families will:
- Understand whether their child is making limited progress, making progress toward expectations, or meeting expectations.
- Leave with at least one practical math strategy to use at home with their child.
