Literacy Data Conferences (Title I)

During Literacy Data Conferences, families will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about literacy assessment data, including DIBELS and MAP, and what the results mean for their child.
  • Understand their child's current literacy performance and progress toward grade-level expectations.
  • Discuss their child's strengths and areas for growth with their teacher.
  • Collaborate with the teacher to create a personalized plan for supporting literacy at home.
  • Practice a literacy strategy or skill that can be reinforced at home to help their child continue growing as a reader.
  • Ask questions and gain a better understanding of how home and school can work together to support student success.

By the end of the conference, families will:

  • Understand whether their child is making limited progress, making progress toward expectations, or meeting expectations.
  • Leave with at least one practical literacy strategy to use at home with their child.
