Road to Kindergarten Workshop

Prior to kindergarten there are many things parents can do to support their child's transition to school. View the 2024 Road to Kindergarten Workshop presentation for information about kindergarten readiness, the kindergarten program, and registering your child for school. From making sure appropriate documentation is gathered, to playing with, reading with and listening to their child, the year before kindergarten is a great opportunity to develop school readiness!

5th Grade Middle School Transition Night

The TSES 5th Grade team and Daniel Rosewag, Coordinator of CTE will present to students and families about the HCPSS career paths, course selection, and and receive resources for future educational planning. We will also support families with Canvas course selection for middle school.

Grade 2 Family Literacy Event

Join the 2nd Grade and Reading Teams to gain an understanding of the performance level of your child with comprehension skills, the importance of retelling, and ways to support your child with the 5 Finger Retell strategy when reading fiction texts at home. Families will receive books and comprehension resources for home use.

Grade 3 SEL Family Night Event

Join the 3rd grade team and our Guidance Counselor to gain a better understanding of using communication effectively to help your child(ren) build relationship skills. Families will receive books and other resources for home use around social-emotional learning and building relationships.

Kindergarten Literacy Program

Join the Kindergarten and Reading Team to learn the importance of handwriting instruction, proper letter formation, multi-sensory ways to practice handwriting, and ways to practice handwriting at home. Families will receive materials for home use.

4th Grade Math Fact Fluency Workshop

Join the 4th Grade Team and Math Coach for a basic fact fluency workshop to hear about activities and strategies to help support your child's math fact fluency! Families will receive fact games and materials to practice and play at home.
