After completing the Language & Literacy Learning Party series, parents will be equipped with a wide range of developmentally appropriate strategies to support their child's language and literacy growth. They will learn the importance of everyday interactions such as playing, talking, singing, and asking questions, as well as storytelling, sharing books, taking picture walks, and reading aloud. Parents will also discover how to deepen comprehension by discussing characters and asking questions about books. In addition, they will explore activities that promote sound awareness through music, rhyming, and word games, while also recognizing the value of environmental print and letter recognition games. Finally, parents will be encouraged to provide opportunities for drawing and writing, model real-life writing, and demonstrate the habit of writing often in front of their child, reinforcing literacy as a natural and engaging part of daily life.
