After participating in the Social Foundations Learning Party series, parents will gain strategies to help their child develop important social, emotional, and executive functioning skills. They will learn how to encourage curiosity and a love of learning, foster independence, and support initiative and self-direction. Parents will also practice ways to guide their child in starting and completing activities, solving everyday problems, and seeking out information to support projects and learning. In addition, they will explore strategies for helping children follow rules and routines, take responsibility for their actions, and learn from mistakes. The series will also emphasize the importance of using materials with purpose and respect, building positive relationships with peers, and developing healthy ways to recognize and manage emotions.
