Mrs. Leslie Harmon has dedicated her career to education, with 20 years in the Howard County Public School System. Mrs. Harmon holds a bachelor’s degree in special education, master’s degree in early literacy and reading, as well as a post graduate certification in administration and supervision. She has served schools, families, and communities in the role of a Special Education Teacher, Instructional Team Leader, Department of Special Education Resource Teacher, Elementary Assistant Principal, and most recently an Instructional Facilitator for Elementary Schools with the Department of Special Education. Her background in school administration and special education has allowed her to work with many elementary schools across HCPSS with an emphasis on meeting the needs of diverse learners.
Mrs. Harmon strongly believes that open communication and collaboration are key to creating a successful learning community. She is committed to ensuring that every student at Talbott Springs Elementary School receives a high-quality education, one that empowers them to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Mrs. Harmon lives in Ellicott City with her husband, two daughters, and two dogs. She loves to cook, travel, and watch her daughters perform with their dance companies.
Mrs. Harmon is excited to begin working with the Talbott Springs Elementary community and is ready to see the Eagles RISE!
